Tot-hom was born from an intensely feminine and courageous story. In the Barcelona of the fifties, Margarita Jovani opened her own workshop at the age of forty, after becoming a widow. With determination and sensitivity, she turned her passion for sewing into a craft, laying the foundations of what would become a legacy brand.

Marta Rota grew up surrounded by fabrics, sketches, and the gentle hum of her mother’s atelier. In the Barcelona of the 1950s, travelling between the great fashion shows of Milan and Paris, she discovered her own language — the dress, the cut, the detail.
In 1968, Marta presented her first women’s collection under the name Tot-Hom. With a modern, groundbreaking approach, she opened a new path in clothing, and a year later, she opened her first store on Balmes Street, right under her mother’s workshop, thus starting a family heritage that is still alive today.

During the seventies and eighties, Tot-hom established itself as a benchmark brand and was synonymous with elegance. The relationship with Isabel Preysler, an icon of elegance recognized in Spain, marked a turning point: her public presence and style raised Tot-hom’s profile and opened the door to national expansion.

Madrid then becomes the next step. The opening of the store in the capital is a great leap: it brings the company closer to new audiences and strengthens its presence. Today, Madrid is the showcase to the world. Barcelona, on the other hand, remains the creative and emotional engine of Tot-hom.

More than half a century later, Marta continues to lead the company with her daughters Andrea and Alejandra, without losing the charm of craftsmanship or, of course, emotion.
Together, they embody that timeless essence and bring their vision and expertise to each collection. Keeping alive both the humble spirit of the artisan and the creative ambition that drives the brand to innovate without losing its roots.
